In addition, there is a sniff-tastic trail for tails here where you and your pup can stretch your legs. There are also some furrific amenities here that you can enjoy during the day. This includes baseball fields, basketball court, a lake, playground for the kids and picnic tables. Just be sure to bring some fresh water for your canine, as well as treats to keep your doggo’s energy high when it is hot and sunny!

Rochester Rd

For a pawsome day out with your pooch, head northwest from Rochester to Springfield! Here you will find Dreamland Park where you can enjoy some exercise in the fresh air with your pupper. Here there is around 10 acres of land and sniff-tastic trails that you can follow. There are ponds here for fishing, as well as picnic shelters and a playground for the kids. If you need dog friendly accommodation for you and your pooch, check in to the Red Roof Inn. Here you are welcome to bring two canines weighing up to 70 lbs for a small additional fee per night.

Bunn Park

Not far from Rochester, you will find the pawsome puptown of Springfield! Here you can visit Bunn Park and burn some excitable energy with your furry friend. This is a huge and puptastic green spot in town where there is a sniff-tastic walking path that stretches all the way around the park. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll with your canine by the lake. Other pawsome amenities that you can use at Bunn Park include baseball fields, restrooms and a golf course. Just be sure to bring some water and treats for your canine when you visit.

Iles Park

Another puptastic place that is not far from Rochester and located in Springfield is Iles Park! This is one of the oldest city parks and has 10 acres of land that you can explore with your canine. There is plenty of green grass, and some furrific amenities that you can use during the day. This includes a picnic shelter for enjoying some treats, a playground for the kids, pickleball courts, horseshoe courts, restrooms and benches. In addition, there is a sniff-tastic walkway that you can follow to get some exercise and enjoy the sunshine with your pup.

Old Aristocracy Hill

If you like to try out new dog friendly eateries with your canine then you will love what is on offer over in the puptown of Springfield. This pawsome place is not far from Rochester and it is home to Wm. Van’s Coffee House. Here you can grab a fresh cup of coffee and delicious sandwiches that you can enjoy. In addition, since this place is dog friendly, there are outdoor tables in the garden where you can sit. There is even a small dog run and dog bowls available! Another furrific spot in town is Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery. Here you can get your paws into some tasty meals, as well as try on of the craft beers on offer. Of course, your pup is welcome at one of the tables outside.
