Liverpool
The Liverpool neighborhood is a residential area with single-family homes and an elementary school. You and your pup will be able to take your daily walk past partially wooded lots here. For a chance to enjoy the water and some green space, head to Rosser Park in the northeast corner of the neighborhood. This facility allows catch-and-release fishing from the shore. There are a bench and picnic tables where you and your special pal can share an outdoor meal. Dogs are permitted in public places as long as you keep them on a leash that's no longer than ten feet and you clean up after them.36

Columbus Park
The area around Columbus Park includes private residences, a few community parks, and a trail. There are peaceful roads here that you and Spot can use to stretch your legs. When you want to treat your fur baby to an outdoor adventure, take him to Three Rivers County Park. This facility has a paved hiking loop that circles the park's lake. Hike or jog through woods and around the water with your four-footed friend. You can bring dogs with you as long as you keep them under your control and on a leash that's up to ten feet long. Bring waste bags with you.24

New Chicago
The residential area of New Chicago is just north of Lake Station. This neighborhood has streets that are lined with sidewalks where you and Fido can take a walk. For a pawtastic hike through nature, head to the Cressmoor Prairie Nature Preserve off N Lake Park Avenue. This 41-acre facility has a hiking trail that winds through wet prairie and tallgrass prairie habitats. You can bring dogs here to enjoy the natural setting with you as long as you keep them on a leash, pick up and pack out their waste, and stick to the trails. Remember to bring some water with you.12

County Line
County Line is a residential neighborhood on the east side of town. This community has sidewalks along tree-lined streets that offer a peaceful setting. Go for a stroll here with your canine companion. When you want to enjoy some green space with your furry pal, head to Warrick Park on Warren Street. This small facility includes a grassy field, a playground, and a bench. Play some frisbee or bring a blanket and have a picnic in the park with your pooch. Dogs are permitted if they're on a leash that's no longer than ten feet. Make sure you bring waste bags with you.
