N Jackson St/ U.S. Route 51
The Brookhaven City Park on Hartman Street is perfect for walking your pooch or picnicking with family and friends. The ½ mile paved walking loop is great for a shaded stroll with your pup. There are tennis courts that are lit up at night so you can even walk Fido in the evening. A playground will keep the kids entertained and there are restrooms available where you can dispose of doggie waste bags. In the same neighborhood, you will find Bumpers Drive-In of America. You will love the nostalgic vibe and you can sit with your pooch at the outdoor tables.

Northeast Brookhaven
In the northeast section of Brookhaven you will find the Civic Center RV Park where you can spend the night in your camper while traveling or enjoying a staycation. You can stroll with Fido through the park as long as your pup stays on a leash. There is free Wi-fi available, and you can even do laundry. There is a nice walking path around the area, and you are next to the Civic Center Baseball Complex. You can take your pup over to the fields to run around and get rid of excess energy. The paved walking paths around the complex are perfect for getting some exercise and enjoying the fresh air.

Northwest Brookhaven
Families and their furry friends will enjoy a day at the Mt Zion Bike Trail in northwest Brookhaven. The trails are well maintained and the kids will love riding their bikes as you and Fido walk along the pathways. With three different trails to choose from, you can find one that will meet the needs of both your energetic pup and your more mature pooch. The longest trail is about 9 miles. Be sure to bring plenty of water bottles and doggie waste bags. You and Fido will love roaming through the trees and your pooch will have a snifftastic time.

East Brookhaven
Smith Lake is located in the eastern part of Brookhaven and is a favorite of fishermen and pups. After walking some laps around the large lake, you and Fido can relax along the banks of the water and catch some fish. The area is shaded, so just bring some water bottles and spend the day with your pooch rolling in the grass and admiring the wildlife. There are no restroom facilities available, so be sure to bring some doggie waste bags and dispose of them when you get back home. Parking is convenient. Be sure to keep your pup on a leash.

Just 10 miles northeast of Brookhaven, pups and their parents will love the Northeast Lake Lincoln State Park in Wesson. You can go and relax in the tranquil atmosphere and admire the beauty of the area. There are several paved walkways around the lake that are perfect for strollers or wheelchairs. A large playground will entertain the kids and if you enjoy camping. The campground is well maintained and is a perfect place to spend the weekend with your furry friends. The walking trails provide plenty of shade, but you will want to bring some doggie waste bags and water bottles. You can also relax on the banks of the lake or hang out on the dock.
