Baker Park
Baker Park is one of the most popular neighborhoods among the canines of Upper Saint Clair, because there are so many tail-wagging walks to be had here. The highlight of the neighborhood is that it provides access to the Boyce Mayview Park, where you will find over 400 acres of woodlands, fields, valleys and open spaces. There are several different facilities within the park, including a pool, a community vegetable garden, historical structures, snack shacks, a playground and picnic shelters. There are numerous trails running through the park to help you and Fido to explore it, with these often running alongside Chartiers Creek.

Bridgeville
Directly adjacent to Upper Saint Clair is the Bridgeville neighborhood of Bridgeville, home to the spacious McLaughlin Run Park. This green space features sports facilities, a skateboard ramp, a playground, picnic tables and a pavilion, as well as a paved path that runs through the park. If you and Fido feel hungry after all of your walking, head on over to Labella Bean. This dog-friendly restaurant serves up food all day, but is most loved for their artisan breakfasts, as well as their high-speed WiFi. If you don't want to sit down to eat, you can even text ahead with your order, so that it is ready and waiting for you and Fido to collect.

Lakemont Farms
Lakemont Farms in Bridgeville, which is next to Upper Saint Clair, provides access to one of the finest parks in the area. The 125 acre Fairview Park is not only home to sports facilities, picnic tables, paved walking trails, grassy lawns and three playgrounds, but also boasts an off-lead dog zone, complete with water available on-site. This dog park is well-marked with flags, but is not fenced off, so although your dog is free to play off the lead here, you do still need to have some control over your pooch. Keep in mind that in order to use this dog zone, you will need to obtain a permit in advance, as well as pay an annual fee.

Scott Near Vanadium
Directly adjacent to Upper Saint Clair is the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Scott Near Vanadium, and there are a couple of parks that can be accessed from here that you can take your pooch to. The largest is Robb Hollow Park, which features 28 acres of primarily undeveloped woodland. There are several trails criss-crossing through this park that are pawfect for a dog walk. If you and Fido would prefer more of an urban park, head on over to Byrnwick Park, where you will find basketball and tennis courts, a playground, benches, and a paved walking path. Dogs are welcome in both parks, but do need to be kept on a lead at all times.

Bower Hill
Less than a mile from Upper Saint Clair is Bower Hill in Pittsburgh, featuring access to the Kane Woods Nature Area. This tranquil green space sprawls out for 72 acres, and is known for its varied and well-marked hiking trails. There are five main trails to choose from, most of which connect up with another at some point, making it easy to explore all of them. The trails will take you and Fido past everything from dense woodlands to historic buildings to meandering streams, making this an extremely pleasant walk. While the entire park is dog-friendly, your pooch will still need to be kept on a lead, and you should also bring some doggie bags and drinking water with you.
