Veterans Park on E. Magnolia Street is a popular location for weddings and walking your pup. The park is well-maintained with colorful gardens and a gazebo perfect for relaxing with your pooch on a sunny day. Located near the downtown area, you can spend time strolling through the park any day of the week while your pup rolls in the grass and sniffs the flowers. Picnic tables and park benches are situated throughout the park where you and your canine companion can eat lunch after walking laps, or just enjoy some water before heading home.

Dedicated to the first K-9 officer of the Angleton Police Department, Officer Cash Memorial Dog Park offers a great destination for Fido and his family. The dog park features a large obstacle course created from recycled playground equipment, and small pups will love the seesaw, jump through rings, tunnel, and slide. There is a large open area where your pup can chase a ball or frisbee, or socialize with other pups. The water fountain is available to keep Fido hydrated, and pup parents can sit on the shaded benches while their furry family member plays and runs off energy. There are doggie waste bags provided, so make sure to clean up before leaving the park.

Bates/ Dickey
Located off West Mulberry St, Bates Park is behind the softball fields in Dickey Park. You can take Fido for a walk along the lighted paths while the kids spend some time on the playground. Adults and teenagers will enjoy the disc golf course, and your pup can sniff the trees and roll in the grass. After spending some time at Bates Park, stroll over to Dickey Park where you can admire the Butterfly Garden and walk through the wooded ½ mile trail. Pup parents can stop at the exercise stations, or just walk laps and burn some calories. If you get tired, take your pooch and relax at one of the picnic tables or refill water bottles at the fountain.

Just a couple minutes north of Brushy Park, Freedom Park is another dog-friendly destination. The ¾ mile walking trail is great for walking laps and giving Fido his exercise. The playground for the kids is shaded, and there are picnic tables and benches when you are ready to relax. If you need a pooch-friendly place to stay in the area, La Quinta Inn & Suites is close by and welcomes pups for an extra fee.

Bailey Prairie
The B.G. Peck Soccer Complex offers large open areas where you can spend time with Fido and the kids. Soccer games are popular during the spring and summer, and the concession stand is usually open where you and your pup can get a snack. Walking around in the grassy fields gives your pup a chance to sniff and roll around in the fresh air. Children will also enjoy the playground, and there are picnic pavilions available when you need to relax in the shade. Restrooms are clean, and you can refill your water bottles while spending the day at the park.
