Airlane Park
Next time your four legged friend needs a walk, head over to the Clearfield Canal Trail which can be accessed from the Airlane Park neighborhood. This pawsome trail runs parallel to the Davis Weber Canal and stretches three miles in length. Your pup will love movin’ and groovin’ her four legs down this asphalt path. Bicentennial Park is also nearby. For even more exercise, pop over to this park and take some laps around the walking path. Watch your pal’s tail wag as she enjoys the fresh air and sunshine. Be sure to bring enough water to keep her hydrated.

Clearfield North
Clearfield North has a couple pupperific places to take your canine companion. If you have an active pup, he’ll fit right in at Steed Park, a favorite among local athletes. This 23 acre park has multiple ball fields, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and picnic pavilions. In addition, there are two jogging and walking paths, both under a mile. If he needs more mileage, hop on the Denver and Rio Grande Western Rail Trail. This trail stretches across three cities and runs 24 miles, so you’ll have plenty of room to tucker out your pup.

South Main
Since parks and dogs go hand in hand, your furry BFF will wag his tail with delight when you take him to the Jesse D. Barlow Park. Located in the South Main neighborhood, this park spans 17 acres and has plenty of green space for your pup to enjoy. After sniffing around the grassy fields, she can trot down the paved walking path. It clocks in at about a half mile, so if she’s got a lot of energy, you may need to take a few laps. For a change of scenery, head over to the nearby Island View Park. Bring a snack and some water and take a break before walking around this park’s path.

Center St/ Main St
If Clearfield is just a stop on your itinerary, make a reservation at the local Days Inn. For just a small fee, your furry traveling companion is welcome to stay at this conveniently located hotel. She’ll drift off to dreamland in a comfy room and rest up for the next day of fun. If she needs an evening walk before settling in for the night, head over to Kiwanis Park. Let her sniff her way around the grassy field; she’ll love discovering all the new smells. Take a few laps around the park’s perimeter before heading back to the hotel.

Oak Hills
If you have a mountain loving dog, head over to the Adams Canyon Trail. It’s located in Layton and is just a 10 mile drive from Clearfield. This pup-ular trail is 3.5 miles and takes you through some beautiful Wasatch Mountain scenery. It follows the North Fork of Holmes Creek and includes two crossings, one on a bridge and the other on rocks. If your pup gets a little too hot, he can cool his paws off in this refreshing creek. The trail ends at a stunning 40 foot waterfall. Hang out for a while and feel the spray from the falls before making your way back down the trail. Sounds pawsitively amazing!
