Eastview Heights
Located just 30 minutes from Mazomanie, and surrounded by over 100 acres of parks and ponds, Eastview Heights has plenty to offer the whole family. Of course, that includes your furry friends too! But the best part of this already great neighborhood is its proximity to two great dog parks! Badger Prairie Dog Park has nine acres of fenced, off-leashed goodness that your pup is sure to enjoy! It’s surrounded by a gravel path, but it has tons of green space for when Fido wants to play fetch. If you’d like an even bigger park, Prairie Moraine Park has several different paths for you to explore with your dog, along with lots of hills and green space.

Morton Forest
When it comes to seeing pawsitively beautiful sights in Mazomanie, you won’t find anything much better than Morton Forest Park! Established in 2016 when the land was donated by a generous Wisconsin resident, it is one of Wisconsin’s newest parks. With over 114 acres of lush land, this is a great place to hike with your pup! There are different paths you can take and two vistas that offer stunning scenery of the hills and valleys of the Wisconsin countryside. While the trails in Morton Forest aren’t incredibly long, some hikers find them very steep, so make sure you bring plenty of water to keep you and your pooch hydrated!

Town of Berry
This neighborhood is just an 11-minute drive from central Mazomanie. It’s home to Indian Lake County Park, a family and dog-friendly park with 442 acres and a 6.4-mile trail for two-legged and four-legged creatures alike! You can take a winding trail up to a chapel built in 1857, and once you are there, you will be met with breathtaking views of Indian Lake. Dogs must be kept on a leash in most areas of the park, but there is a pet exercise area at the west entrance of the park where Rover can let loose! The park is open year-round and also features cross-country skiing trails and a log cabin warming house.

North East Mazomanie
North East Mazomanie is home to Cedar Hills Campground, a peaceful, scenic, rustic, and pet-friendly campground that is open April to October. It offers private, as well as group, campsites, with easy pull-in RV sites and water and electric hookups. You and your dog will have plenty to explore (and sniff!) on the nearby nature trails, where you can overlook the stunning Wisconsin River Valley while you interact with friendly locals and other visitors. If you are camping with a big group, there is even a pavilion where you can gather and make memories at this pawsome pet-friendly campground in Mazomanie!

West Prairie du Sac
West Prairie du Sac is home to Shamrock Dog Park, where all of your furry friend’s dreams can come true! The fenced-in park has plenty of shade for hot days, and you can also take in views of the beautiful river. While your pet sniffs their way around two acres of green space, you can rest on a bench or exercise by walking the park’s perimeter. Admission is only $2 for the first dog and $1 for every additional dog. If you are a client of the veterinary office next door, you are eligible for a discount on an annual membership to the park. And if you happen to forget your doggie waste bags or your pet’s water bowl, the park provides both bags and watering stations!
