This residential neighborhood is located on the eastern outskirts of town, although it is an older well-developed neighborhood and not far from commercial areas. Because of its location, there are no thru roads, and the neighborhood is surrounded by rural properties, farms and wilderness areas. Very well established yard sites and gardens give this area a very natural country feel, and it doesn't feel like you are in a city at all. Homes are varied with older, more established, smaller homes, and large residences featuring pools and more elaborate landscaping in the area. The area is flat, and a walk through this area is sure to hold your interest with great homes, farmland on one side, and wilderness areas nearby hosting a variety of birds and small critters. There are few sidewalks in this older neighborhood so watch out for local traffic and keep your dog leashed.

Bella Vista Lake to the north is dog-friendly and has 132 acres of park, trails, and lake to explore. A little closer to the north the Bark Park allows for off-leash exercise for your pup and provides a fenced in area for safe off-leash activity. Make sure your dog is well socialized if he is going to be loose with other dogs and supervise closely. Both these dog friendly parks have parking lots, bathrooms, and dog stations for disposing of waste. Bella Vista Park has picnic areas and a lake for hot days and the Bark Park has a water fountain to refill your water supply in the summer if you and your dog require it.
