Thornbrook Village is a rural, residential subdivision located just 10 minutes southwest of Bentonville's central business district. While a large variety of services can be accessed by vehicle, there is a small commercial area along 14th Street to the north of Thornbrook Village that can be reached on foot. There are several restaurants and shops in this business area. Be cautious walking your dog here as 14th Street is a busy four-lane roadway with traffic. Residents may prefer to walk their dogs on the quieter, less trafficked residential roads in the area.

The weather in Bentonville is very hot in the summer and because Thornbrook Village is a newer community, shade trees have not yet developed. Hot pavement can be uncomfortable on your pooch's paws when temperatures in Bentonville reach between 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit on a summer day, so avoid walking when temperatures are at their height.
