One important thing to note before beginning your daily walk with your pet is the heat intensity in this area. Although it is only during certain months, the heat can get very strong at times and can cause overheating, so exercise caution on your walks.
One precaution that should be taken, however, before extending any workout is ensuring both you and your pet stay well hydrated and not overheated. This can be especially important during the hotter than normal summer months. This area is also extremely artificial, so expect to be on sidewalks and streets.
Another park worth mentioning is discovery park. This park is attached to Glendale Heroes Regional Park and provides a more traditional take on parks with plenty of beautiful nature views and walking routes. Another great location in the area is Orangewood Park. This is a more laid back park, perfect for a relaxing dog walk. It also features a playground and picnic areas.
Finally, for a more unique location, the local Independence High School has several fields and walking paths open to the public after school hours.
