Oakridge Village is located east of El Dorado Hills Boulevard, south of Harvard Way, west of Oak Ridge High School, and north of a large undeveloped natural area. The terrain is very hilly with steep inclines along residential roads and provides magnificent views of the surrounding area. However, walking requires pedestrians and their pups to be in good shape to climb up and down the steep terrain.

Residential streets wind through the neighborhood and have sidewalks to keep pedestrians from having to share the road with local traffic. Homes in the area are mid-sized and recently developed with beautifully landscaped properties. There are natural and ornamental trees, shrubs, and lawns with a variety of landscaping features to accommodate the steep terrain.

The large natural area to the south provides more open land and the high school to the east has more developed manicured grounds with sports fields and facilities as does the recreational grounds to the north.
