Coastal San Pedro is graced with beautiful parks and natural areas throughout the community. There are several walkways along the coast and trails to navigate the steep terrain down to the ocean.
Large parks on the coast include White Point Park, Wilders Addition Park, Point Fermin Park, Joan Milke Flores Park, and the 22nd Street Park. These parks have plenty of walking trails, greenways, and rest areas. Parks farther inland are Lookout Point Park, Angels Gate Park, Alma Park, and Harbor View Memorial Park which provide greenways accessible from different parts of the neighborhood.
The parks along the waterfront are connected by pedestrian paths and offer picnic areas, treed areas, open areas, access to the waterfront, and fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean. Many beaches in the area are dog friendly and you can explore greenways and beach on foot with your dog. Just remember to clean up after your dog so others can enjoy the beach!
