Like many Los Angeles neighborhoods, Glassell Park is located in the San Rafael Hills mountain range. There are few commercial spaces located in this neighborhood, but you will find a nationally-known grocery store, a bar, a recreation center, an elementary school, and only a handful of restaurants.
A lesser known tourist attraction is also located in Glassell Park. Done in the style of the iconic Hollywood sign, you will find the "Glassellland" sign overlooking the northern part of this neighborhood, off of Kinney Street. Residentially, most of Glassell Park is comprised of standalone, single-family homes. Many of these homes are tucked away on hilly and windy roads.
