Granada Hills is a residential community located in north Los Angeles, California. Granada Hills is an affluent, high-income neighborhood with commercial establishments, schools, recreational facilities, and country clubs located throughout the region. The Granada Hills community is divided into North Granada Hills and South Granada Hills by the Ronald Reagan Freeway which traverses the district from east to west.
Residents that want to access services on foot will find commercial areas along some main roads in Granada Hills, although most of the commercial services are located in the south along Chatsworth Street. Residents to the north have more limited options for walking to retail areas but pet owners in Granada Hills will find several pet supply stores and services.
Residents who take their dogs walking in Los Angeles experience hot, dry weather the vast majority of the time. Rain is rarely a factor and even winter weather is temperate with few cold or wet days.

In the West, Aliso Canyon extends further south along the border of Granada Hills and features a 3.4-mile greenway that is more accessible and convenient for many residents. Schools, playgrounds and recreation areas are distributed throughout Granada Hills and many locals can find a green area a short walk from their homes.
