This community is part of the area referred to as East Hollywood and is located between the Hollywood freeway to the west, Hollywood Boulevard in the north, and the Santa Monica Boulevard on the south. Little Armenia is in the north-central section of Los Angeles, California. The neighborhood is so named because of the large number of ethnic Armenians living in the area and Armenian restaurants and retails shops are plentiful in the neighborhood, which lends culture and uniqueness to the community, including features such as the St. Garabed Armenian church. There are plenty of retail shops, hotels, restaurants, and services in the community, mostly congregated along major thoroughfares, with residential areas distributed throughout the community. Walking to access businesses or enjoy residential areas is possible year round, due to the warm sunny weather in southern California experienced by Los Angeles residents. Pet owners can access a veterinarian, several dog groomers, and both chain and unique pet supply stores in the area on foot if they live nearby, or by a short vehicle ride, depending on their location in the community.

There are lots of major roadways in the area such as Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard, Santa Monica Boulevard and Franklin Avenue, where there is lots of traffic accessing commercial areas. Watch out for traffic in these spots, and lots of pedestrians on walkways. Keep your dog leashed for his safety. The west side of the community is bordered by the 101, or Hollywood Freeway. This busy artery can be difficult to navigate across on foot, and pedestrians will need to locate pedestrian bridges, or overpasses with sidewalks to cross. Mixed in with commercial services, restaurants, hotels and retail shops in the area are single-family homes, townhomes, apartments, and condominiums. Many have nicely landscaped yards for passersby to enjoy. The Hollywood Hills and mountains located nearby provide scenery and can be viewed to the north of the community.
