With plenty to do all around the neighborhood, you and your pooch will have a fun time exploring Palms. The weather in Los Angeles is warm and mild all year round, though the summer can bring some sweltering days and the winter months are a little on the rainy side. Most days in Los Angeles are sunny and beautiful, but always check the weather before heading out.
The neighborhood's boundaries are three major roads: Venice Boulevard, the Christopher Columbus Transcontinental Highway, and the San Diego Expressway. Venice Boulevard provides a nice walk if you're interested in shopping or exploring some of Palms' different entertainment options, but be careful crossing the street or getting too close to the busy roadway. Stick to the middle of the neighborhood for a quieter, more relaxing walk through residential areas.
Though there aren't many large parks in Palms, there's plenty of greenery to enjoy while out walking in the residential areas. Most of the streets feature wide, grassy verges between the sidewalks and roadways that offer protection from cars as well as a place for a quick stop. There's also a sprawling lawn in front of Palms Middle School with pretty flowers and other foliage. Remember to obey leash laws in any residential areas in order to keep your pup safe.
