The surface is shredded bark and some dogs find this hard on their paw pads.
The SR-15 commuter bikeway is a 12-foot-wide two-way paved bike path running along the freeway and is separated from traffic by a concrete barrier. Pedestrians and pets can use the bikeway, but should yield to cyclists and your dog must remain leashed.
The Normal Heights Open Space Park is a secluded greenway also located just across the freeway. This park is situated in a canyon with steep cliffs and a trail that can be accessed at the end of Eugene Place.
