The weather in San Diego is beautiful for walking with your dog with mild winters and hot summers. Extreme heat may mean walking earlier or later in the day during summer months. There are two waterside greenways: La Jolla Shores Park and Cuvier Park. Access to beaches by dogs is restricted, so check local regulations carefully. Other local greenways and parks with natural terrain and recreational amenities include Cliffridge Park, Villa La Jolla Park, and La Jolla Natural Park.
Numerous hiking trails run through the natural canyons and greenways in the area including the UCSD to Birch Aquarium, Scripps Coastal Reserve Trail, Saigon Trail, and La Jolla Trail. Elevation changes, stunning views, and wilderness terrain can be expected in and around these hiking trails and your furry friend will enjoy exploring these great paths.
