This small region, sometimes nicknamed 'FiDi,' offers a walk for those looking for a bustling environment with lots to explore. As for climate, San Francisco is warm year-round with minimal rainy days, mostly in the winter, so you're likely to have a perfect day for a walk. Check the weather beforehand though, because the summer months can bring high temperatures that heat the sidewalks, making them too hot for doggy paws.
San Francisco is known for its roads on extreme inclines, and the Financial District is no stranger to hills. This can present an issue for elderly dogs or pups with joint issues, so exercise caution. You'll find a mix of streets on an incline and long, flat roads wherever you walk in the neighborhood. The entirety of the Financial District spans less than 0.5 square miles, so you'll find it very easy to explore and discover much of the neighborhood in one day.
If these green spaces aren't enough for your pooch, Sue Bierman Park sits on the waterfront just outside the Financial District's borders and features sprawling lawns and playgrounds easily accessible through Ferry Park.
