With over 1,000 acres of beautiful gardens secluded groves, lakes, and trails you have a variety of options to choose from. Whether you are heading out for a nice trail run with your pup or a meandering stroll, take a look at a map and you'll find the perfect path. Take your dog to one of the off-leash areas and let him burn off extra energy and meet some new friends.
It's important to know that not all areas are open to dogs including the athletic fields and picnic areas, and most of the open meadow areas require you to have your dog on a leash. Still, there are three designated off-leash dog areas with plenty of space to let Fido run and play with other furry friends. Another area you'll want to check out is the all-sand dog training area. This fenced part of the park is the perfect spot to work on obedience before you hit the trail or try more advanced tricks with exposure to distractions.
