San Francisco has generally mild, comfortable weather which is ideal for those eager to walk their pups in the height of the day. However, during the summer, you may want to exercise some caution as the pavement can exhibit some qualities which may cause some burns to sensitive paw pads. During the other months, the weather in San Francisco and in the neighborhood of Outset is perfect for anyone looking for a daily stroll.
This area also has a nice balance when it comes to the difficulty of terrain. Although the area is, in general, more hilly, the inner city areas do flatten out a bit allowing for an easier walking experience while the beautiful mountain ranges, national, and city parks offer a wide selection of hilly options with varying degrees of difficulty. This gives residents an opportunity to choose their personal favorite level of difficulty.
This is not the only great neighborhood park, however. Another great one is Backesto Park. Although this great location does have standard park immunities like lawns, sports fields, courts, and a playground, what really makes this park unique is it's 1920s fountain.
One park that is a little less neighborhood due to its grandiose size and attractions is the Gran Paradiso Park. This outstanding location features pools, a pool house, playgrounds, large green spaces, beautiful views of the city, and so much more. Although it may be a bit much for an everyday walk, it is definitely worth visiting.
