As residents of a very tiny, private neighborhood in San Francisco, the residents of Presidio Terrace are also among the wealthiest in the area. If you do not live in this tiny community, you will not be able to walk here either. Locked gates and fences surround this community which also has its own security. If you are fortunate to live here, you can either walk the oval street or you can venture outside of the community to walk along the streets of the surrounding communities. Just a couple of blocks to the south, you will find a wide array of different amenities.

Presidio is a small private community that has only one road running in an oval through the neighborhood. The lovely brick sidewalks and grassy shoulders do make for a nice place to walk, especially considering the fact that there is little traffic through this neighborhood, so it is quiet and relaxing. Chances are good that you will want to leave the neighborhood at some point in time and outside the neighborhood, the streets are just as nice, if a bit busier. Not all streets have grass shoulders, but enough that your pup will get an opportunity to wander around the greenery a bit.
The terrain is hilly, but not so much that most people cannot handle it for at least a short walk. The elevation changes are mild in most areas and it is altogether possible that you can walk without having to walk up too many hills.
How many greenways are there in Presidio Terrace?
Just to the north of Presidio Terrace is Presidio Park which includes a private golf course but also has an extensive park that has plenty of places to walk with your dog. There is a total of 1,500 acres to be explored including views of the Golden Gate Bridge and a Civil War-era fort. If you are just in it for the walking, there are plenty of trails throughout the park including ones that open up just past Presidio Terrace. There is also a dog play area at the southwest end of the park near Mountain Lake.
To the south of Presidio Terrace is the Golden Gate Park at over 1,000 acres. The park is loaded with things to see and do including some that you can do with your favorite furry companion. In addition to four dog play areas, you can enjoy the botanical gardens or wander through the oak groves.
