One of the most popular things to do is join a group for a walk and a dog-friendly beer tasting or wine tasting at one of the breweries or wineries that are popping up all over the island. Once per month, there is also a flea market where dogs are welcome to join their owners on a stroll through art booths, food stands, and pop-up restaurants.
There are several small parks on the island that preserve some of the natural trees, shrubs, and grasses that have grown up on the island since it was first created. There is even a short stretch of a path that will lead you through a Eucalyptus forest, which will be a novelty for you and your dog.
Though there is not much in the way of natural trails, you can certainly devise your own urban hike for a wonderful dog walk on Treasure Island. You can piece together an enjoyable loop that gives you incredible and unique views from one side of the island to another. When you are done, head to the Wood Island Club's outdoor bar on the sandy beach and treat yourself to a beer tasting while your pup hangs out on the beach. If you want something totally different to do with your pup, you can head to the dog-friendly flea market. Held the last weekend of every month this outdoor bazaar has dozens of vendors displaying their wares. You can see fantastic local art, antiques, and incredible food from around the world. You can grab a snack from a local vendor and stroll through the aisles looking for interesting trinkets and enjoying a sunny day with your dog.
