Overview

The fast-paced atmosphere of Charlotte can leave you in need of a night out with your fur-baby. Luckily, The Queen City has lots of dog-friendly bars to pick from. We've taken on the difficult job of searching for the best dog-friendly bars in Charlotte and narrowed it down to the top 5. Without further ado, here are the 5 dog-friendly bars in Charlotte your pet "mutts" visit.

The Dog Bar

Looking for a spot to beat the heat with Fido? The Dog Bar on North Davidson Street is just the place for you. Since The Dog Bar doesn't serve food, dogs are allowed inside as long as they are up-to-date on their shots. It's just a one-time fee of $10 to bring Tucker along, and all you need to provide is their vaccination records.

Don't be surprised if you see a Chihuahua chillin' on the bar top or a Mastiff lounging on the house dog bed — dogs have free reign over this joint! There's even agility equipment on the bar patio for dogs to show off their skills — talk about a "pawty"!

The Flying Saucer

The Flying Saucer on North Tryton is an out-of-this-world pet-friendly bar with a fun and funky atmosphere. The outdoor patio is dog-friendly and has fans to keep their furry patrons cool during the dog days of summer. The bar serves all sorts of craft beers and even has a "UFO club" for its beer-loving patrons.

The servers will be happy to bring your woofer a bowl of fresh water and even a grilled chicken breast if they're hungry. The Flying Saucer has plenty of traditional bar offerings for humans, too, with burgers, pizza, and fresh-baked pretzels. Be sure to stop by The Flying Saucer on a Tuesday night to test your smarts at trivia.

NoDa Brewing Company

NoDa Brewing Company on North Tryon Street is one of the best places around to grab a beer with your pup. NoDa makes all their microbrews on-site, with an ever-changing menu of lagers, IPAs, sours, and goses. Dogs are allowed inside and out and can even accompany you on a tasting tour of the brewery. The brewery doesn't serve food, but food trucks frequent the premises. This brewery is sure to be a home run with your pack!

Town Brewing Co.

Town Brewing Co. is a brewery that's fun for the whole family. This kid- and pet-friendly brewery is located on Grandin Road in the heart of The Queen City. The brewery serves up delicious offerings like fig and gorgonzola flatbreads, brisket sandwiches for the adults, and homemade pigs in a blanket wrapped in puff pastry for the kiddos. Town Brewing Co. even has dog treats for sale if you don't feel like sharing your main course with Fido.

As for beer, the selection is massive. You can take your pick from handcrafted beers of all types, with fun names like Barstool Psychiatrist, Cashmere Outside, and Emotional Support Badger. The proceeds for select beers even go to local charities like Emancipate NC.

Heist Brewery

If you're in the mood for a beer and a bite with your canine compadre, Heist Brewery is the place to be. Lounge on the pet-friendly patio with a handcrafted brew in hand, all while munching on some tasty eats. The food menu includes eclectic dishes like Bahn mi flatbreads, brisket mac, and cheese, and chicken and waffle tacos — need we say more?

The food isn't the only thing on the menu that will have you drooling. Heist Brewery has a mouthwatering mix of beers, ciders, and signature cocktails. Whatever you do, be sure to try a Blackberry Mo-Fizz for a sweet and refreshing treat. Don't forget to order treats and fresh water for Fido. The servers will be happy to oblige!
