Overview

Pup-friendly spots where you can enjoy a beverage and a bite to eat with Fido are hard to come by. Luckily, there are a number of dog-friendly bars in Columbus where your woofer is welcome.

Before hitting up one of the best dog-friendly bars in Columbus, make sure your pup is comfortable around other dogs and calm around strangers. If they're easily excited or anxious around large crowds, they may need some extra training before their next outing.

Looking for the "ultimutt" dog-friendly bar in Columbus? Check out 5 of the best spots in Ohio's state capital.

BrewDog DogTap Columbus

Craft beer juggernauts BrewDog operate one of the best dog-friendly restaurants in Columbus, if not the whole of Ohio. One of 3 locations in Columbus, the DogTap boasts a "puptastic" selection of craft beers and some decadent bites to eat, ranging from tacos to vegan burgers.

The BrewDog DogTap is also incredibly dog-friendly. Pups are allowed outside, and there's even a dog park out back where you can let your mutt stretch their legs. You can even book a "Dog Pawty" for Bella's next birthday!

Oddfellows Liquor Bar

Advertized as a classy dive bar, Oddfellows Liquor Bar is a trendy spot for a late-night lager with your canine compadre. Dogs are welcome on Oddfellows' spacious, kitschy patio, complete with plenty of water bowls to keep your hound hydrated. Grab a slice of pizza and a cocktail and relax at this laid-back watering hole.

One of the best features of Oddfellows is its regular dog-friendly events. Oddfellows runs a "Dog Eat Dog Mondays" event that lets you bring your barking buddy for a dog patio party. Oddfellows even gives pet parents free hot dogs!

The Ohio Taproom

The Ohio Taproom is another "pawsome" dog-friendly bar in Columbus, with outdoor seating for you and your fur-baby. The Ohio Taproom serves up only local products, from beer to pretzels. Grab yourself a growler of micro-brewed beer and a bag of dog treats to keep your canine entertained.

Old Dog Alehouse & Brewery

Located just north of central Columbus in Delaware, the Old Dog Alehouse and Brewery is ideal for a day out with your doggo. This dog-themed restaurant offers farm-to-table food and even boasts its own nano-brewery. Pets are welcome on the shaded patio, and the restaurant provides water bowls for thirsty puppers.

Seventh Son Brewing Co.

Seventh Son Brewing Co. has been voted the best brewery in Columbus time after time. Seventh Son Brewing Co. is a firm favorite in Columbus' Italian Village, with its chilled-out atmosphere, food trucks, and unique beers.

Pets are welcome on the patio, and servers are happy to provide water and treats for your doggo. Seventh Son has also been known to run dog-themed events, including fundraisers for dog charities and shelters. Just ensure your pup isn't over-excited by cats, as felines are a common sight!

16-Bit Bar and Arcade and Pins Mechanical allow you to bring your leashed, well-behaved dog as well!

Just wanted to update: Brewdog Columbus does not allow dogs inside (except the gift shop). They are not allowed in the bar area or anywhere inside where food or drinks are sold.
