Overview

If you're from Tampa, you probably don't need us to tell you how pet-friendly your city is. With dog beaches, pup parks, and dog-friendly shops, your dog is spoiled for choice as far as hangouts go. Tampa is also home to numerous dog-friendly bars and restaurants where you can unwind with your favorite furry pal. We've sniffed out the 5 coolest dog-friendly bars and breweries around Tampa where you can have a drink with your fur-baby.

The Sail Pavilion

Looking to stir up a little seaside fun with your pup? If so, the Sail Pavilion is the spot for your crew. This adorable little bar and restaurant is situated on the riverwalk and offers "furrific" open-air views of the Seddon Channel.

Pups are not only welcome on the dog-friendly patio — they're treated like "bone-a-fide" customers. The servers will happily bring your pup a fresh bowl of water and treats as you sip your mixed drink. The bar even has a cleanup station where you can wash the sand off your four-legged beach bum. Your pack is sure to love this bar by the bay!

Mad Dogs & Englishmen

Mad Dogs & Englishmen is a dog-friendly English pub with an American flair. If you couldn't guess from the name, dogs are encouraged here, and there's even a secret doggy menu for the furry patrons.

As for the humans, Mad Dogs has traditional English offerings, like fish and chips, Scotch eggs, and shepherd's pie, as well as dishes from around the world like chicken tikka masala and curry shrimp.

This pawsome pub has quite the wine and beer list and offers incredible specials like $5 glasses of wine during happy hour and $5 mimosas during weekend brunch. Not one for alcohol? Try an Italian espresso coffee — you won't be disappointed!

Six Ten Brewing

Six Ten Brewing on Benjamin Road is a no-frills brewery with a big heart for its four-legged friends. Pups are welcome both inside and out here, as long as they're well-behaved. This brewery has dozens of unique handcrafted brews, from raspberry wheat ales to PB&J stouts.

Six Ten doesn't serve food every day, but it regularly hosts food trucks and pop-up chefs. Drop by on a Wednesday for gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, or come in on Thursdays for a round or two of bingo.

Irish 31

Irish 31 is a good old-fashioned Irish pub with a super dog-friendly atmosphere. The servers love their furry bar-goers and can often be spotted handing out dog treats, with the pet parents' "paw-mission".

Dogs can take their pick from the doggy menu with pup-approved offerings like ice cream and doggie meatloaf! Humans can choose from Irish or American favorites, including bangers and mash, whiskey chicken, and burgers.

Gaspar's Grotto

Gaspar's Grotto is a pirate-themed restaurant and bar named after the local pirate Jose Gaspar. Your pup will feel like a true member of the crew since woofers are welcome on either of the pub's two patios. Servers will happily bring your woofer a bowl of fresh water and even offer them food from their secret doggy menu.

Gaspar's is so pet-friendly it even has a resident cat named Tanker Ray. Stop by during the day for one of Gaspar's famous Cuban sandwiches, or swing by at night for some live entertainment. One thing is for sure, you can't go wrong with Gaspar's!
