Thanks to its location next to such a historic and culturally rich building as the White House, the are several beautiful memorial parks in the area. A great example of this is the George Washington Memorial Parkway. It features several smaller parks themed after different government officials and has tons of trails and monuments to create a very interesting and enriching experience. Another beautiful monument park is the Lyndon Baines Johnson Memorial Park. This beautiful park is located in a riverside grove and has views of the National Mall.
Of course, this area wouldn't be complete without a park monument for the founding father, George Mason. He created the Virginia Declaration of independence which was used as the framework for the bill of rights. This great man helped our country immensely and was left a beautiful park filled with history that residents now get to enjoy for many years to come.
