Give a Wag! Gives to Chula Vista Shelters

Though it was once known as “the Lemon Capital of the World”, these days Chula Vista has a whole lot more going for it than just fruit! If you love dogs, you’ll feel right at home in this Californian city, which boasts a myriad of dog-friendly walks, parks, experiences, attractions, and, most importantly of all, people.

And those dog-friendly people are always ready to lend a helping paw when Chula Vista’s pets fall on tough times. The San Diego Humane Society has been serving the animals of San Diego County since 1880. With campuses in San Diego, Escondido and Oceanside, San Diego’s oldest non-profit organization is on a mission to inspire compassion for animals.

It does this by providing an extensive range of programs and services, including on-site and mobile pet adoptions, animal control services, animal cruelty investigations, and spay and neuter services. The society aims to keep people and pets together, and over the years has helped thousands of four-legged friends find forever homes.

PAWS of Coronado is also on the front line helping animals in the Chula Vista area. With a mission to change the world one animal at a time, this non-profit animal welfare organization provides care and medical services to the stray, abandoned, and relinquished animals of Coronado. It then helps those animals find loving, responsible owners, in the hope that we can one day live in a world where every lost, stray and abandoned animal is able to find its forever home. Volunteers, foster carers, and donations are always welcomed with open paws.
