When a dog in Hialeah is abused, abandoned, or neglected, there’s no shortage of animal welfare groups ready to lend a helping paw.
The Humane Society of Greater Miami is one of them. Founded in 1936, it operates a limited admit, adoption-guarantee facility and is committed to helping every dog and cat in its care find a loving home. No animal the Humane Society of Greater Miami rescues will be euthanized due to time, space, or treatable medical issues, and this non-profit cares for more than 400 homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens each day!
From a dogs-only perspective, Paws 4 You Rescue and 1 Lucky Dog Rescue both go the extra mile to save the lives of at-risk pets. Paws 4 You Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organization focused on saving dogs from euthanasia at Miami-Dade Animal Services. It gives the animals it rescues safety and shelter, professional medical care, and lots of love before helping to place them into forever homes.
Meanwhile, 1 Lucky Dog Rescue is a no-kill, non-profit animal rescue organization. From Chihuahuas to Pit Bulls, this grrr-eat group rescues pets from high-kill shelters, off the South Florida streets, and takes in pets surrendered by their owners.
Rescued animals are checked by a vet, given any medical treatment they need, then vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. They then receive the loving care and rehabilitation they require to get back on their paws.
If you’re looking to add a new pet to your family, both of these Miami organizations always have plenty of adoptable animals in need of a new home.
