PAWS for Life Celebration of Life
Every June PAWS for Life hosts the Celebration of Life event! Bring your dog out to the Gold Dust Saloon in Pueblo for a morning of fun and exercise. Sign up for the 5k run, the two-mile walk, or the kiddie run.

Entry fees are $25 for adults up to a week before the event. During the week of the event, entrance to the races is $28. Day-of tickets are $30 per adult, but only $20 for those under 20 years old. The Kiddie K is free!

Chieftain Pet Expo
One of the largest pet events in the Pueblo area each year is the Chieftain Pet Expo. Join other pet lovers and their dogs at the Giodones Weatherport Tent at the Colorado State Fairgrounds for a day of fun each May from 11 am to 4 pm! The event is typically held on a Sunday early in the month.
During the event, you will be able to watch exciting demonstrations, participate in or watch contests, such as the Most Expressive Ears, Best Kisser, and Best Wagging Tail!
For the kids, there will be a trivia contest.
Admission is free and the event has fun for the whole family.

Community Pet Blessing and Pet Food Drive
Bring your pet down to the Riverwalk at the Gazebo each October for the annual Community Pet Blessing and Pet Food Drive. Help out animals in need by bringing a food donation to the event, which will go to one of the local animal shelters in the area to help provide additional supplies for homeless animals in need.
All pooches are welcome at the event, but you're sure to see other creatures there, too! Each year, horses, cows, fish, snakes, cats, dogs, hamsters, and more are brought down for the Blessing Ceremony, which is meant to help protect our pets throughout the year. All animals should be on a leash, lead rope, or in a carrier of some kind.
The ceremony is free and takes place from 2:30 to 3 p.m.

Warrior Dog Memorial 5k
Join the most patriotic, dog-friendly 5k in the country at Warrior Dog Memorial’s annual 5k run. The whole family is welcome at this fun event where strollers are allowed on the race trail and children and dogs of all ages can participate!
Registration is $20 per person on the day of the race, pre-registration prices are $15 per person. All participants over the age of four require registration fees. T-shirts are available for each registered racer. Little kid registration is free, but no t-shirt is included.

Barks, Booze, and Bags
Every Tuesday night, pack up your pooch and head down to Pub Dog for a night of great food, adult beverages, and of course, dogs! The Barks, Booze, and Bags weekly event at Pub Dog helps to raise money for the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.
Each week, there are different mystery prize bags that you can enter raffle drawings to win. With five different bags each week, you are sure to win some great prizes!
Remember that $1 from each draft beer and glass of wine sold between 6 and 8 pm is donated to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.
