The Salinas Animal Services, also known as (SAS), is a division of the Police Department. They provide animal control services, animal shelter and licensing for the City of Salinas, CA. Their vision is to find every shelter animal a permanent home and to endorse a community of responsible pet owners. Their mission is to provide a compassionate, professional and superior service to all the animals and to their community.
The Salinas Animal Services provides vouchers for pets to get spayed and neutered, giving away $50 vouchers for male pets and $75 vouchers for female pets. These vouchers are valid at any local Veterinary clinic. Just bring in your photo id (drivers license) and a utility power bill for proof of address.
The vouchers will be issued to those pets that are up to date on their vaccinations, and the dogs must be currently licensed. The first vaccination will be good for a whole year and subsequent vaccines will be good for 3 years.
The Salinas Animal Services is your one stop to pick up and adopt a loving pet cat or dog. Cats have a $50 price tag and dogs have a $75 price tag. All adoptions include a spay and neuter, vaccinations, microchip and FVCRVP.
