Pet Palooza – Prattville Autauga Humane Society
This extravaganza takes place each October. Join in on this annual hit! Take part in little sweepstakes, dress up your pet in a sweet doggy costume, bring your kiddos along for games, enjoy a delightful and delicious bake-off, and visit the pet vendors who'll be selling their merchandise. It is a great day for the whole family! There is no entrance fee, but the raffle tickets are sold at $25 a pop. This is a paw-tastic experience for your little, tail-wagging friend. Head on over to Cooters Pond Park for this afternoon of fun.

The Super Groomer – Dog Bath-a-Thon at PAHS
In association with The Super Groomer, a vast volunteer network comes together to wash, pamper and groom the dogs at the shelter. These dogs will be given away and adopted out to the visitors. Come and grab your family for a paw-fect way to spend the day helping the animal shelter dogs get groomed! If you can lend a hand, just let them know. It really is a superb cause that will help a ton of dogs.

Bark in the Park
The Prattville Autauga Humane Society and the City of Prattville’s Parks and Recreation Department are hosting the Bark in the Park at Cooters Pond Park in April. Head along with the family and your pet pooches for a paw-tastic, tail wagging, lip drooling time! It opens at 11 am so you have plenty of time to organize the kids and get your little fur babies ready. Meet other families and dogs while you have a whale of a time. The Bark in the Park is a fun outting for your furry friends and a chance for you to take the whole family out on a trip.

Cooters Pond Dog Park
Cooters Pond Dog Park is a large, fenced-in dog park that is worth checking out! It has a number of trash cans available to help with clean-ups. Outside of the dog park is a picnic area that you can take advantage of. Dogs really enjoy the waterfront, and of course hanging out with other hounds. The park has play features for the dogs and is heavily lined with oak trees making it a beautiful spot to enjoy a walk with your pet pooch. It really is a lovely park, and makes a great outing for your family.
Overlook Memorial Park
Come explore this very beautiful park, adorned with wildflowers and ornamental pear trees. It is located on a steep hillside between second and state streets. It boasts a waterfall and pretty stone boulders for your pup to climb on! It also has a small playground for children and bathrooms if you need them. Lots of fun can be had here for the family and your four-legged friend! The park is a special place to take both the kids and Fido. The Overlook Memorial Park has facilities and a playground that is suitable for those physically impaired. The trail in the park is 0.5-miles long. All of these amenities make it a go-to destination for the entire family.
