Lake Frierson State Park
Spend some quality time with your best dawgs at Lake Frierson State Park. It is located high atop Crowley’s Ridge and is 335 acres of peaceful, scenic natural beauty that stretches from Southern Missouri to the Mississippi River at Helena, Arkansas. You can fish from the pier year-round and the park features many playgrounds, a pavilion, and a boat launch! You can even rent fishing boats, kayaks and pedal boats. Did I mention the famous Dogwood Lane Trail? No Fido, this path isn’t named after you! It is aptly named due to the dozens upon dozens of flowering dogwood trees. PAWSitively GORGEOUS!

This is pet-friendly dining at its finest. Skinny J’s is open Monday through Sunday and features live music every Saturday night. You can dine with your canine in the outdoor seating area. They offer everything from apps to desserts, including chicken, beef, fish and oysters, wraps, salads, pasta, burgers and sandwiches! Whatever you are in the mood for, Skinny J’s has it. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is casual and the food will blow your mind. All of this with your four-legged sidekick by your side makes for the perfect day! Start your Christmas the right way at the annual Christmas Wonderland in Jonesboro! Things get started early with a tree-lighting ceremony at 10 am. Next comes the parade itself, which turns the entire town into a display of Christmas cheer! Bring the whole family - including Rover - to enjoy this holiday event. If you have an especially brave doggo, you can stick around for the firework show that commences at 6. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and get there early to nab the best spot!
