The town of Gilbert may once have been known as the “Hay Shipping Capital of the World”, but these days it has a few more strings to its bow. One of those strings is a thriving community of committed dog lovers, as well as a variety of animal rescue organizations that are always ready to provide help to pets who are doing it tough.
Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a perfect example. Founded in 1993 as Citizens for Tempe Strays, this non-profit is dedicated to the homeless and stray animals in and around Gilbert. It rescues dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes and helps them find loving owners, but also promotes spaying and neutering to help reduce pet overpopulation. If you’re looking to give an animal a new lease on life, Friends for Life Animal Rescue always has plenty of pets up for adoption.
It’s a similar story at Cooper’s Chance Animal Rescue, a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue that was established in 2006. With a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abused and neglected animals, Cooper’s Chance Animal Rescue gives rescued dogs the care and rehabilitation they need to find happiness in a new forever home.
Whether providing essential medical care to abused and neglected animals, rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned puppies and homeless mothers with nursing litters from shelters, or providing dignified end-of-life care to abandoned senior dogs and terminally ill pets, this inspirational organization makes a huge difference to the animals that need help the most.
