Give a Wag! Gives to Mesa Shelters

Mesa, Arizona, hasn’t escaped the problem of homeless pets, and the animal shelters in the area are usually full of animals in need of new, permanent homes. Unfortunately, there are too many pets in need of loving families to get all of them adopted, but there are a couple different organizations in the area that are working hard get the majority of animals into a forever home!

Friends for Life Animal Rescue was founded in 1993. This non-profit organization has three locations in the Mesa area where they house animals in need of forever homes. To prevent starvation, illness, and injury, Friends for Life takes in animals off of the streets. They also spay and neuter all of the animals that come in to the shelter to prevent unwanted litters of puppies and kittens being abandoned in the area. As a non-profit, Friends for Life Animal Rescue runs off of volunteers, donations, and fundraisers. Not one of the animals that come into one of these three facilities are euthanized as a means of population control!

Follow Your Heart Animal Rescue is another non-profit animal rescue in the Mesa, Arizona, area. As an all-foster rescue, each of the animals that Follow Your Heart takes in is sent to live with a foster family until a permanent family is found for them. This rescue takes in animals that are likely to be euthanized due to their breed, illnesses, fears, ages, or physical disabilities. Follow Your Heart is always looking for new foster families and donations to support its mission.
