Dogs' Day in the Garden
Spend a day at the Desert Botanical Garden with your dog in the month of November. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a specific day, dogs will be allowed to wander the garden on leashes with their owners. While at the garden, you can participate in dog yoga with your furry friend or listen to live music at the dog-friendly café!
The event will have a Barketplace, which is a marketplace featuring products for your beloved pet. Vendors and non-profit organizations will have booths set up with all kinds of doggie-related goodies in the market.
There will also be an adoption vehicle on site trying to find homes for adoptable dogs. If you are ready to add another member to your family, don’t forget to stop by!

Blessing of the Animals
Join the Franciscan Renewal Center in honoring the pets of the area at the 2017 Blessing of the Animals. On November 11, gather at the Rose Court of the Franciscan Renewal Center to have your pet blessed by the friars. This event is held every year, and you won’t want to miss out on your pet’s annual blessing.
Your whole family is welcome in sharing the morning honoring of your beloved dog.
The event is held at 5802 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley, Arizona, which is about 30 minutes away from Mesa, Arizona, via AZ 101 Loop South.

12k’s of Christmas
Who doesn’t love dressing up in Christmas-themed clothing and spending a day with dogs? Well, put on your best Christmas get-up, and maybe also your running shoes and head over to the 12k’s of Christmas run at Freestone Park in Gilbert, Arizona! Grab the whole family for the 1.2k, 6k, or 12k walk/run. Your dog can even participate in the race (on-leash) with you!
Carols and musicians will be present at the event spreading holiday cheer all around. There will even be other species of animals there to root for you. Be sure to participate in the costume contests and browse through the Christmas Bazaar. Let your pet enjoy Santa’s Pet Village, too!
Admission ranges from $20 to $55 based on race registration.

Annual Doggie Street Festival
Join other dog lovers at the Annual Doggie Street Festival at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix, Arizona each January. The festival is only 25 minutes away from Mesa, Arizona. Your pooch will be happy to sample treats and meet new doggie friends while you peruse dog food, services, fashion, health supplements, training, accessories, travel and lodging, and veterinary vendors.
The event will have live music, tasty food, and an auction with great prizes!
It is free to enter the event, but be sure to bring some money for all the great things your dog can’t live without.
Santa Paws
Santa Claus is coming to town! Don’t miss out on a visit from Santa in December at the Doggie District pet resort in Phoenix, Arizona. On the "Santa Paws" day, Santa will be available for photos with the whole family - or just your pooch if you prefer.
The event also has free food and drinks, as well as raffles with great prizes! The White GSD Rescue is hosting this fun event, so be on the lookout for members of the organization on site.
Admission is free, so don’t miss your opportunity for a cute Christmas card picture!
