Animal care has been my lifelong passion, dogs being undoubtedly at the top of the list! I spent many years working in animal welfare, volunteering at local shelters, promoting low cost spay and neuter initiatives and working on the east coast to provide free dog houses, blankets and toys to backyard dogs in low income areas during the harsh winter months. I worked as a dog walker in Los Angeles and my family and I have always had our own dogs in addition to fostering and finding homes for strays and rescues. The unconditional love, comfort and tremendous fun dogs bring into our lives has always inspired me to help those in need and makes working with them such a joy!

“It’s always been “Puppy Love” for me!”

Hi, my name is Steff. I can't remember a time in my life that I didn't have at least one dog to love; my family currently shares our lives with two rescue dogs Harley and Frankie. I have a natural comfort around dogs and a healthy respect for them as well. I am interested in your specific pet and in making sure you are comfortable when I am helping you. I look forward to the opportunity to meet and take your dog on his/her next walking adventure and to help you keep your pup happy and healthy.

At one point we had two pugs have 14 pug puppies (2 litters) to fostering rescues from Aussie and Friends animal Rescue. I’m very comfortable and patient with any type of breed and to be given the opportunity to work such a fun-loving job would make me very appreciative. I’m very active so if you prefer long walks there would be no issue! Thank you.

“This Wagster has walked a dog or two.”

I used to be an owner of 2 dogs and 2 cats living together. The dogs were more playful than the cats as you would expect. The cats were always in their own zone minding their business. All 4 (Both cats and both dogs) still got along well. I walked and fed the dogs every day and occasionally took them to dog parks. The dogs were trained by professionals, and I followed along with day by day instructions since they were puppies. One of them is 5, the other is 3. Now, I currently live with no pets.

Dog Boarding in Queen Creek

Queen Creek, AZ is home to several paw-tastic local shelters, all of which are committed to providing a safe haven for our furry friends! From adoptions and fostering to volunteer opportunities and other events, these shelters are a wonderful resource.

2nd Chance Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping abandoned and abused dogs get back on their feet and regain their trust in humans. They offer adoptions to families within 50 miles of Queen Creek and focus on dogs that are most likely to be placed on the euthanasia list.

A non-profit, no-kill animal rescue, Desert Paws works to place dogs, cats, and other domestic animals in loving homes. They also host numerous events designed to educate the public about how to be a good pet owner in an effort to stop the growing problem of abandoned and abused pets.

Established in July 2014, AZ Care operates out of nearby San Tan Valley and strives to reduce the number of pets on the euthanasia list in the area. They are currently working on building a much bigger facility, but maintain their commitment to educating locals. AZ Care offers youth programs aimed at offering insight on the pet overpopulation problem and best practices for ending suffering on the streets, in abusive homes, and in shelters.
