Say cheese Fido, it's Santa! Everyone needs a picture of their furry friend with Santa to sit on their holiday mantle each year. Bring your most well-behaved pup (Santa and his elves will be watching and updating the good and naughty lists) and receive a keepsake photo you will always treasure of your pup and his other hero, Santa Paws! All proceeds will benefit the Arizona Small Dog Rescue so please give a generous donation for your photo to this very worthy and hard-working rescue!36
Second Sunday in the Park Food Truck Festival
Grab Fido's leash and your wallet and head on out to this dog-friendly, gastronomically perfect day in the park! You have your furry friend beside you, you are at the park, now add dozens of food trucks with everything from burgers to tacos to pizza to sweets! The perfect day in the park with your furry friend just got even better! This event takes place, as you can surely assess from the name, on the Second Sunday of each month at 8-Acre Park. This is a free event - well, the smells are free, the bites will cost you a little dough! Be sure to clean up after your little furry friend while in the park and please, no retractable leashes for the safety of everyone. It might get a little crowded, so they recommend a sturdy 6-foot leash instead. Bone Appetite!24
Surprise Party
Come one, come all (come a well-behaved, 6-foot leashed Fido with his handy poopy bag dispenser) to this wonderfully festive community event - the Surprise Party! Day 1 of 2 of the festivities will be filled with family-friendly activities, music, a balloon glow, skydivers, Santa's workshop and spectacular fireworks at the end of the night! Day 2 offers up more music, more family-friendly fun, a classic car show, crafts, pony and camel rides, a petting zoo, lots of treats and so much more. Come on out and join in the festive fun!12
Surprise Super Swap Meet
The whole community looks forward to this event every year! Come stroll the parking lot of Surprise Aquatic Center located at 15831 N. Bullard Avenue and find some treasures! Fido is welcome to join you as long as he is on a 6-foot leash, is friendly and you clean up after him should nature call while you are shopping. You will want to keep checking the community calendar for this one - it normally happens every November. There will be free parking and anything and everything by way of food, fashion, collectables, secondhand what-nots, and one-of-a-kind crafted items. You will never know what you may find!
Doggie Street Festival
Arizonans love their dogs and they will be throwing their annual doggie fest to prove it! Bring your leashed pup down to Steele Indian School Park for all things dog ! There will be all sorts of dog-friendly activities, vendors featuring the latest and greatest new foods, toys and everything in between including music, dog care tips from local veterinarians, a kids art area and so much more. Come out and meet all the dog lovers of Arizona and their beloved furry friends. Your dog will have a ball. What a pawfect way to spend a day with your buddy!
