The Best Friends Animal Society is located near Anaheim, California. This no-kill shelter has a mission to bring all homeless pets into loving homes. As a non-profit animal shelter, the Best Friends Animal Society runs off of volunteers and donations from the public. Mark your calendar for some lavish fun in November! That's when the Pampering Pets and People event in Los Angeles, California takes place. While your dog gets a nice grooming, you can treat yourself to a massage and makeup application.
Meet with a variety of people in the pet industry, such as dog walkers and trainers. There will also be vendors selling products for both people and pets. Refreshments are provided for the human attendees.

#2 Wag 'N Walk
Get moving with your dog at Wag ‘N Walk in Long Beach, California. Each November, put on your running shoes and leash up your dog for a 1.84-mile walk around the bike path at El Dorado Park Dog Park. The opening ceremony starts at 10 a.m. and includes a ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly installed doggy water fountain.
Registration is $35 per person, which includes a t-shirt, water bottle, and a photograph of you and your dog. The proceeds from the event benefit the El Dorado Dog Park.
#3 Holiday Mini Sessions with your Pets
Frame Your Pet Photography is offering holiday mini sessions for families with pets! Get the perfect photo for your Christmas card in November, so you're ready to send out your cute snapshot over the holidays. Spots are limited, so sign up early to ensure that you can get a slot.
Each session will last 15 minutes, and afterwards, you will be provided with five retouched photographs that are high-resolution and perfect for your Christmas cards!
Mini sessions don’t require any additional props or outfit changes, so show up ready-to-go for the session! Each session is $150 for up to five people and two pets. Each additional subject will be an extra $20.
#4 Yappy Hour
Join other dog owners at the Hala’s Paws Pet Boutique Yappy Hour, which goes on in November. This event allows your dog to socialize with other pooches in an off-leash environment. Humans will be provided refreshments and appetizers throughout the evening, while their canine friends will be offered a variety of treats. You can purchase toys and treats at the event, so bring a bit of spare cash!
A short drive from Anaheim, this event takes place in Ladera Ranch, California. The drive will be worth it, as you get 10 percent off your entire purchase excluding food while you are at the event.
#5 Holiday Pet Portraits
Are you looking for a professional photograph of your pet to send to all of your friends and family for the holiday season? If yes, bring your pet to Hala’s Paw in Ladera Ranch, California, during December to get the perfect photo for the occasion!
From noon to 4 p.m. on a specified date, a photographer will be on site taking photos. Admission to the event is free, but the photos are $20 each. You will be sent home with a 4x6 framed image from the session, and you will get an email with a digital copay.
There will also be refreshments and carolers to really get you in the Christmas mood! Appointments aren’t necessary, but the event is first-come, first-served, so show up early if you can.
