My name is Lisa and I'm a dog owner and lover! I have volunteered for a local dog rescue for the last 6 years including fostering over 150 dogs. I have 3 of my own fur babies. Roxy is a 7 year old German Shepherd I've had since she was a pup. I adopted Peetie my AMSTAFF bully boy as well as my blind Shih tzu Wink. I used to foster up to 6 dogs at a time. Now that I have 3 dogs, I usually foster 1-2 dogs at a time. I have a lot of experience with all sorts of breeds, ages and temperaments. I'm great with special needs dogs. I have experience training and handling dogs from all sorts of backgrounds and challenges. I've rehabilitated many dogs that have not been treated well and taught them to trust and enjoy life again! I joined Wag to do something I love the most; spending time with dogs! Your dog and I will have a great time on our walk.

“My best friends have 4 paws”
Hi, I'm Lyric. I'm a life-long Bay Area resident, and dog lover. I live in San Jose with my dog (and best friend) Boomer. I have many years of dog care under my belt, from puppy to senior, including special needs dogs. I have experience with many breeds, and know how to handle high-energy dogs. I love meeting new dogs and getting to know their charming (and often hilarious) personalities. Our dogs aren't pets, they are family, and you can count on me to treat them that way.

Greetings, my name is Scott! I'm a military veteran who grew up in Sacramento, but have lived in the San Francisco area the last 20+ years. While growing up, my family always owned dogs and, over the years, built up a great understanding of their general behaviors & needs. I started walking & caring for our dogs, and others, when I was around 8 years old, and have loved doing so at every opportunity since! I'm a very athletic person who goes to the gym & trail running at least 4 days per week so, I'd love the opportunity to keep your dog healthy & fit as well! Your dogs' happiness and safety will be my top priorities!

My name is Salina. I am a huge dog lover! I volunteered for the Doggy Day out program for the Humane Society in milpitas and I loved being able to take the big shelter dogs out to enjoy the sunshine and get some fresh air. I also pet sit for the members of my family when they go on vacation. I've been complimented many times on how dogs really like me when they first me, even when the owners say they are not so friendly. I feel I would not only be a great dog walker but a great friend for your pet as well!

Located in the tech hub of Silicon Valley, California, Campbell is usually more closely associated with computers than canines. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of cute and cuddly puppers that call the area home, with an estimated 200,000 dogs kept as pets across the wider Santa Clara County.
Of course, wherever there are plenty of dogs you will also find a whole lot of dog lovers and animal welfare protectors, such as the good people at PAWS 4 SJACS. That complicated-sounding acronym stands for Pet Awareness and Welfare Society for San Jose Animal Care & Services, and this all-volunteer non-profit organization works to support SJACS in several ways.
With several-thousand animals taken in by SJACS each year, PAWS 4 SJACS works closely with other local animal rescue groups to help adoptable pets find new, loving homes. It also provides medical care for sick and injured animals, supplies treats and toys to help improve the lives of animals in the shelter, and runs a number of programs designed to limit the number of animals that end up in the shelter in the first place.
Cal State Dog Rescue is another Campbell-based group that provides vital help for animals in need. Founded in 2014, it rescues at-risk animals and places them in volunteer foster homes until the right pet parent can be found. With adoption events held every other weekend, Cal State Dog Rescue provides plenty of opportunities for these dogs to find brighter futures.
A laidback night of wine tasting, gourmet food, and good conversation — sounds pretty good, right? That’s what you can expect at Downtown Campbell’s annual Spring Wine Walk, which allows you to taste the best that Campbell’s wineries have to offer. Dogs are more than welcome to join in the fun, but keep in mind that they may not be allowed into all tasting locations. And if you miss out on the spring event, the good news is that there’s another Wine Walk held each fall as well.
Furry friends are also welcome at the Bay Area Pet Con, which takes place in January at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. There, you and your pet can browse products from a wide range of exhibitors, enter many of the range of fabulous competitions, take in some live entertainment, or watch agility and obedience demonstrations. It’s a woof-tacular day of fun for you and your dog, giving you the chance to grab some bargains, maybe learn a thing or two, and spend a whole lot of quality time with your canine companion.
Every dog has its day, and for many of Campbell’s canine population, that day is the annual Fall Furry Flurry. Held in October at Los Gatos Creek Park, this annual pets-travaganza features fun doggy games, costume competitions, raffles, and plenty of chances for you and your pooch to make new friends. And with plenty of refreshments available, you might just decide to stay all day. It’s all for a very good cause as well, with proceeds from the event being used to support various animal non-profits throughout the bay area.
Los Gatos Creek Park is also the venue for this pet-acular annual charity walk, which is designed to support the non-profit Nike Animal Rescue Foundation. This pet- and family-friendly event invites dog owners (and their pets) young and old to get together, have a good time, and walk their tails off to raise crucial funds for pets in need. There’s a costume contest, a parade of heroes, exciting doggy demonstrations, and raffles with a stack of great prizes. And if you can raise $25 or more in pledges, you get lunch and a free t-shirt — now that’s a dog-gone good deal if ever we’ve heard one!
At Halloween every year, Wag Hotels Santa Clara transforms into a haunted hotel for one night of paw-tying. Dogs and their humans are encouraged to dress in their scariest, most spine-tingling costumes for a night of fun, games, and trick-or-treating. There are costume contests, vendor stalls, and plenty of refreshments to keep all guests happy. There’s also a silent auction on that night, and proceeds from the event support the Humane Society Silicon Valley, making it the paw-fect way for you and your furry friend to celebrate Halloween!
