Stray animals in Carlsbad, California are lucky to be taken to an animal shelter in the area. These animal shelters are responsible for caring for and finding new homes for these animals in need. Two of the best shelters in the area are Rancho Coastal Humane Society and Wagging Dog Rescue.
Rancho Coastal Humane Society began in 1960 when a group of volunteers started caring for the homeless animals in San Diego County. Now, it is a professionally managed humane society that helps educate the community, find new homes for animals, and is part of an animal safehouse program for domestic violence survivors. The organization works hard to match people with the best pet for them. They also help adopters learn the basics of animal care as well as grooming and exercise requirements.
Wagging Dog Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue organization in Carlsbad, California. This rescue saves animals from Southern California and around the world from euthanasia. The organization takes in dogs and cats who need medical care or rehabilitation. They give dogs who are out of options second chances at life. The rescue also works to fight discrimination of certain pet breeds for perceived behavior problems. As a non-profit, Wagging Dog Rescue relies on fundraising and donations from the public. The adoption fees also go directly back into caring for other animals at the shelter.
If you are looking to bring a new pet into your home, consider stopping by Wagging Dog Rescue or Rancho Coastal Humane Society and bringing home a new cat or dog today!
