DogFest Sacramento
October is a time to celebrate dogs in Sacramento, California. Only a few minutes away from Davis, bring your dog to DogFest Sacramento for a day of fun! Join hundreds of other dogs and dog owners at Southside Park for a 1-mile stroll through the grounds called "Walk’N Roll" to raise money for Canine Companions, which is then followed by DogFest.
The Opening Ceremony begins at 11:30 a.m. and the walk starts just after. The DogFest begins at 12 p.m. and ends at 3 p.m. after three hours of celebration.
DogFest includes live music, guest speakers, and games to keep all attendees entertained. Enjoy food and drinks during the festival, and don’t forget to shop the vendors at the event!

Sacramento SCPA Pup Crawl
Bring your dog to Truitt Bark Park each December for the annual Pup Crawl. Be sure to mark your calendar to celebrate the Annual Sacramento SCPA Pup Crawl. While you sip on local beers, your dog can meet new pals and jingle around the park with their new jingle bells.
Santa will be there for photos with you and your pooch, and you can leave with a souvenir Christmas stocking for your dog. There is even a Pup Crawl photo challenge that you won’t want to miss out on!
The event is limited to just 200 people, and tickets are $25 per person, so sign up quick!

Pints for Paws
June is the perfect time to leash up your pup and prepare for a great day of beer drinking. Join the Berkeley Humane Society at the Annual Pints for Paws: Ale Be Back! Celebration in June. Enjoy samples of 100 craft beers from more than 20 different craft breweries in the area!
Meet brewers, cider makers, and artisanal winemakers from the region. Enjoy food from local food trucks, and browse through local vendor booths. There will even be live music at the event! The festivities run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
All socialized dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed.
Tickets are limited. Lowest rate tickets are just $40.

Soggy Doggy Swim Day
As summer winds down, join other local pups for a fun pool day in the sun at the West Sacramento Recreation Center! For only $5, your dog can spend the morning swimming and socializing with other water-loving pooches.
The annual event is always held on a Saturday in October from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Yolo County Animal Services will be on location providing dog licensing services and microchipping opportunities. Be advised that owners are allowed in the beach entry area, but they are not allowed to swim with their dogs.
Admission is $5 per dog at the door. Dogs must be accompanied by an adult over 18.
Joy to the Hounds Holiday Bash
Celebrate the holiday season with other animal lovers and their dogs at the Joy to the Hounds Holiday Bash at The Animal Den Pet Resort in Sacramento. Santa and Mrs Claus will be available for photos with your pet, so be sure to bring your camera or cell phone to snap pictures!
Dogs are allowed off-leash, and the pool area will be open for those who love to swim.
Keep in mind that this is a 21 and over event. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered.
Tickets are only $10 per dog, but bring cash for the Wine & Champagne Bar and for the Hot Coco Bar.
