Give a Wag! Gives to Elk Grove Shelters

As the second largest city in Sacramento County, Elk Grove boasts a thriving community of pet owners and animal lovers. And wherever there are animal lovers you can also find plenty of hardworking animal rescue groups who give their all to ensure that every dog in the area gets the chance to live a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life.

Sacremento SPCA is the best-known animal welfare group in the region. Since 1894, the good people at Sacramento SPCA have been providing critical care and support to pets in need. As an open-admission animal shelter, the organization opens its doors to all pets regardless of their breed, age, behavior, or health. It provides essential medical care and a comprehensive adoption program, and also offers several support and education services to help reduce pet overpopulation.

Kritter Kamp Rescue, which is based in Elk Grove, is a non-profit group that rescues homeless and abandoned animals. From puppies to golden oldies, pets of all ages are accepted, and Kritter Kamp Rescue has been helping at-risk pets for over nine years! It also runs a state-of-the-art boarding facility for vacationing pets, so your pooch can enjoy a comfortable paw-liday away from home.
