Give a Wag! Gives to Fair Oaks Shelters

With the help of committed volunteers, veterinarians, and animal lovers throughout the community, homeless dogs are able to find shelter and care. The feeling of giving love to the animals who need it most cannot be beaten. Dog-lovers everywhere care deeply for the cats and dogs (and other animals!) who are neglected, homeless, or surrendered. All dogs deserve love, and caring people everywhere are going to great length to ensure their wellbeing.

Haven Dog Rescue, located in Citrus Heights, serves the surrounding areas of Sacramento and saves the lives of hundreds of dogs each year. Dogs are taken care of, and volunteers get to know their unique personalities so that they can make sure their precious pups are placed in the right fur-ever homes. Truly a non-profit doing noble work, the shelter takes in pups, nurses them back to health, trains them, and helps them feel loved and healthy again.

Another compassionate and caring organization is doing big things to improve the lives of dogs throughout the Sacramento community. Old Dogs New Tricks is a non-profit devoted to the specific care of dogs who are old, very large, or unwanted. Taking in the marginalized pets of the community does a lot of good. Animals are given the opportunity to be cared for and loved in forever homes that appreciate their loyalty.

Without the passionate volunteers, none of this animal-saving work would be possible.
