Homeless pets in Fullerton, California, need to be off of the streets, and a couple of the local shelters are trying to keep these animals fed, warm, and dry by taking them in. OC Animal Care and WAGS Pet Adoption are both located near Fullerton, and they take in companion animals that are in need of new families and homes.
OC Animal Care takes in more than 30,000 homeless animals—ranging from dogs to bunnies—each year! This organization first opened in back in 1941. The shelter provides services to more than a dozen towns and cities in the area to keep animals safe and off of the streets. They also provide animals with a warm place to live, food, and medical care. During each animal's stay, the shelter tries to find new, permanent homes for every one of them. At any given time, the shelter can house 380 dogs, 300 cats, 50 rabbits, and a variety of other animals.
WAGS Pet Adoption is an open-admission animal rehabilitation and adoption center that helps care for and rehome pets in the area. The organization also helps investigate and combat animal cruelty cases in the Fullerton, Westminster, and Stanton areas. All animals—even those deemed unadoptable—are welcome at WAGS Pet Adoption. This non-profit relies entirely on donations, fundraisers, and adoption fees to keep helping more animals in need.
If you are looking for a new pet in the Fullerton area, consider visiting one of these animal shelters.
