Home for the Holidays
Each December, the City of Irvine Animal Care Center hosts its annual Home for the Holidays pet adoption fair. This pet-friendly festival brings together 30 rescue groups and animal shelters and more than 600 homeless pets all in one place, which obviously makes it a grrr-eat event for anyone searching for a new furry friend. However, there’s lots of other fun and games to enjoy throughout the day, including dozens of pet-related vendors, gourmet food trucks, a silent auction, and more. Entry is via a suggested donation of $2 per person or $5 per family. Leashed, vaccinated, well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend, so grab your pooch and join in the fun.

A day of fun and festivities to celebrate our canine companions — sounds pretty paw-some, huh? Well, that’s exactly what you can expect at Animalia’s Day of the Dog, held in August at Animalia’s Huntington Beach location. Held to allow Animalia to return the love Animalia receives from its doggy friends, the event features contests, games, vendors, pooch pictures, and some grrr-eat prizes.
