Dogtoberfest
At Dogtoberfest, you can celebrate everything about dogs with your family! There will be a variety of pet vendors, agencies and dog services that you can talk to while you're there. And there is also a great opportunity to have your photo taken for a pet contest! The Dogtoberfest in Livermore aims to beat the current Guinness World Record for the most dogs in a town to adorn a bandana at once. Bandanas are given to each dog for free and all you have to is gather your friends and family that own dogs and bring them down to 491 Loyola Way, Livermore, CA. It's sure to be a pawtastic day for you, your pet dog and your family!36
Max Baer Park
Max Baer Park is part of the Livermore Area Recreation and Park Districts (LARPD). It is situated at 1310 Murdell Lane on the west side of town. It boasts a wonderful small dog section, centered right between the baseball fields - which have hosted the Little League World Series! This beautiful dog park has a lot of shaded areas that you can relax at or enjoy a great picnic with your family (pooches included, of course). It is 28,000 square feet, so there's plenty of space to let your dog go for a wander. Lots of shrubs and plants make it a scenic adventure!24
Marlin A. Pound Neighborhood Park
Situated in Springtown, there is a lovely dog park called the Marlin A. Pound Neighborhood Park (which is also a recognized park with LARPD). Here you can enjoy the vast array of grass fields, plus you can enjoy some time on the basketball court alongside two fenced sections. One section is for the smaller dogs so that they can play safely, and the larger fenced area is for the bigger dogs. There is also a fully adorned playground where your toddlers and kids can climb around and have a blast! If you are planning a trip down, do not forget to bring drinks in hot weather.12
