Wag 'n Walk
The El Dorado Dog Park is an excellent 1.5-acre area where Long Beach pooches can indulge in some off-leash fun! The annual Wag ‘n Walk, a 1.84-mile stroll around the bike path, is held each November to benefit this beautiful park. Organized by the El Dorado Dog Park Association, this relaxed and family-friendly event encourages all dog lovers to enjoy a walk and some quality time outdoors with their pets. It’s a grrr-eat way to get some exercise and meet other animal lovers, while all human walkers also receive an event t-shirt, swag bag, and photo with their dog! If you love the El Dorado Dog Park, why not join in the fun?

Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade
Does your dog love getting up in spooky, spine-tingling, or simply adorable outfits at Halloween? If so, she’ll love the Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade, which gives the best-dressed canines a chance to strut their stuff for crowds of enthusiastic spectators. Starting and finishing in Marina Vista Park, the parade attracts hundreds of creatively costumed dogs and thousands of interested onlookers! There’s also a vendor and pet adoption fair held on the day of the event, so you can shop for some great products and maybe even meet a new furry friend!

So Cal Corgi Beach Day
Get your Corgi, slip into your Corg-kini, and get ready for some fun in the sun. The So Cal Corgi Beach Day is held at Alamitos Beach each July. Run by So Cal Corgi Nation, a group of passionate Corgi enthusiasts, this paw-some event is packed full of Corgi-related fun and games. You can enter your pet in the Corgi Talent Contest or one of two costume contests, all of which are a whole lot of fun for dogs and spectators alike! But there’s also a contest to determine the Best Corgi Butt, a pie-eating competition, and even a hilarious Corgi Limbo Contest. Throw in a wide range of vendors, food trucks, and a bubble pavilion (where Corgis frolic among thousands of chicken- and bacon-flavored bubbles), and you’ve got one very entertaining and truly memorable day out!
Interfaith Blessing of the Animals
There are few things in life that help us overcome our differences and unite together quite like our pets, and nowhere is that more evident than at this wonderful annual event. Held on the concrete boat launch ramp next to Rosie's Dog Beach, the Interfaith Blessing of the Animals sees creatures great and small (and their people) gather for a pet blessing. You and your furry friend can join other dogs as well as cats, horses, birds, lizards, rabbits, turtles, and even alpacas at this heartwarming event! One of the largest pet blessings anywhere in the world, it’s been held in Long Beach every year since 2002.
