This non-profit has been serving California for 20 years, and each year they put on a large event in order to raise money for their cause. The event is free for people. If you bring your hound, the cost is $20 per pooch, and allows you to enter in the many contests. It makes for a super fun outing that the entire family can enjoy (Fido included). The event features a tail painting booth, synchronized swimming, and an agility contest -all for canines!

West Covina Dog Spooktacular
The West Covina Dog Spooktacular is just a short distance from Monrovia, in West Covina at the Central Bark Dog Park (located in the Del Norte Park). The event invites pet owners to dress up their dogs and come participate in the dog costume contest. There are three categories in which you can win prizes: scariest, cutest, and most original costume! There will be pet giveaway prizes and local pet vendors offering a number of items for you to try out or purchase. The event is sponsored by the city of West Covina, and has no admission fee.
