Hi, I'm Lyric. I'm a life-long Bay Area resident, and dog lover. I live in San Jose with my dog (and best friend) Boomer. I have many years of dog care under my belt, from puppy to senior, including special needs dogs. I have experience with many breeds, and know how to handle high-energy dogs. I love meeting new dogs and getting to know their charming (and often hilarious) personalities. Our dogs aren't pets, they are family, and you can count on me to treat them that way.

My name is Lisa and I'm a dog owner and lover! I have volunteered for a local dog rescue for the last 6 years including fostering over 150 dogs. I have 3 of my own fur babies. Roxy is a 7 year old German Shepherd I've had since she was a pup. I adopted Peetie my AMSTAFF bully boy as well as my blind Shih tzu Wink. I used to foster up to 6 dogs at a time. Now that I have 3 dogs, I usually foster 1-2 dogs at a time. I have a lot of experience with all sorts of breeds, ages and temperaments. I'm great with special needs dogs. I have experience training and handling dogs from all sorts of backgrounds and challenges. I've rehabilitated many dogs that have not been treated well and taught them to trust and enjoy life again! I joined Wag to do something I love the most; spending time with dogs! Your dog and I will have a great time on our walk.

Greetings, my name is Scott! I'm a military veteran who grew up in Sacramento, but have lived in the San Francisco area the last 20+ years. While growing up, my family always owned dogs and, over the years, built up a great understanding of their general behaviors & needs. I started walking & caring for our dogs, and others, when I was around 8 years old, and have loved doing so at every opportunity since! I'm a very athletic person who goes to the gym & trail running at least 4 days per week so, I'd love the opportunity to keep your dog healthy & fit as well! Your dogs' happiness and safety will be my top priorities!

If you want to live in a world where every dog finds a happy, loving home, you’ll find plenty of friends in Mountain View. Located just a stone’s throw from Palo Alto and San Jose, Mountain View falls under the protective umbrella of several wonderful animal welfare groups.
The Palo Alto Humane Society is one of them. This non-profit, volunteer-supported organization is a little different from many other humane societies around the country in that it doesn’t have its own shelter. Instead, the group works to keep animals out of shelters by offering intervention, advocacy and education.
With a mission to alleviate the suffering of animals, the society runs a range of programs designed to help pets stay in loving homes and prevent the overpopulation of homeless pets. If you’d like to make a donation or lend a helping hand, visit the Palo Alto Humane Society website to find out more.
PAWS 4 SJACS (Pet Awareness and Welfare Society for San Jose Animal Care Center) is another paw-some local rescue group worthy of recognition and support. This all-volunteer, non-profit organization is on a mission to work with San José Animal Care & Services to reduce the number of homeless animals and increase awareness of the value of companion pets.
By donating to PAWS 4 SJACS, you can help this grrr-eat group provide medical care for sick and injured animals, provide treats and toys to enhance the lives of animals at the shelter, and also educate the community about how to properly care for animals — so why not lend a helping paw?
Bark in the Park San Jose is the largest dog festival in the United States and draws 15,000 dog lovers and almost 4,000 furry friends to San Jose in September! Held in William Street Park, this paw-some canine celebration features a whole day full of entertainment for both two-legged and four-legged guests. The highlights of the day are usually the dog contests, including the costume contest, dog/owner look-alike contest, and even a tail-wagging contest! The event also features an agility course, training demonstrations, delicious food and drink and a huge range of vendors, with funds raised from the day benefiting local community and pet-focused organizations. A $5 donation per registered dog is requested from everyone who attends.
Christmas is a wonderful time of year to get together with the whole family, and there’s no better place to get your family (including the dog) together than at Dog Day at the Park! This paw-some canine event takes place as part of Christmas in the Park, the annual family-friendly festival that sees Plaza de Cesar Chavez in downtown San Jose transformed into a Christmas, winter wonderland. There are lights, a huge Christmas tree, and plenty of exciting displays, but the highlight for dog lovers is the chance to invite their pet inside Santa House! You can take free photos yourself, or choose to purchase a custom photo or tchotchke. Leashed dogs are welcome, so why not create an unforgettable Christmas memory with your pet?
An amazing pet event with products, demonstrations, advice, activities, and entertainment — that’s just a sample of what you can expect if you check out the Bay Area Pet Con! Held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, this pet-acular weekend features more dog-friendly attractions than you can wag a tail at. You and your pet can browse a huge range of exhibitors and pet product vendors, watch doggy sports and training demonstrations, get pet care advice from the experts, and even take advantage of discounted pet care services. There’s also pet talent and costume contests, and the event is indoors to protect your pet from the elements. Best of all, it’s free to attend!
If you love your dog and you love ice hockey, this is the event for you! Pucks & Paws is an annual event hosted by the San Jose Barracudas, the American Hockey League affiliate of the San Jose Sharks. For one day a year, you’re allowed to take your dog along to the game at SAP Center by purchasing a specialty dog ticket for just $5! There are special offers available for doggy ticket holders, and you and your pooch can sit in one of the designated dog-friendly seating areas. There’s also a pooch parade during intermission, while the chance to socialize with plenty of other dog-loving sports fans is not to be missed. Add it to your diary for the year ahead!
Looking to enjoy a fun day out with your pet and raise money to benefit local pet rescues at the same time? You’ll love the Fall Furry Flurry, which is held in Los Gatos Creek Park, Campbell, every October! This family-friendly event promises a day full of games and activities for dogs to enjoy side by side with their people. Highlights include costume contests and games, a raffle with some grrr-eat prizes, a silent auction, and photos with your pets. It’s a simple and relaxed way to indulge in a day out with your furry friend, and the $15 admission fee helps support animals in need!
