The Animal Friends of the Valley provide a secure place for lost and mistreated dogs to recuperate or find their way home. Under an arrangement with the city, they also carry out animal control services and spay/neutering programs.

Seniors “Pet Day” is a caring event. Volunteers can sign on to lift the spirits of older folk in care homes with their dogs. This is a wonderful way to socialize shy dogs so they can be placed in a permanent home.
